Welp…I was denied foodstamps!!! Can you believe it??? Wow! I bring home too much income according to the letter!!?? FYI, I make in one month what the average person makes in 2 weeks! How humiliating??? Thank GOD I have options!! What if I didn’t have options??? What about others in my boat who DON’T have other options??? What do they do??? No wonder people lie, cheat and steal to get foodstamps!!! Desperate times call for desperate measures, I guess??? Huh??? Makes sense to me!!?? Well, we will remain ((honest)) and keep on truckin’ forward! We will be ok!!! I wasn’t “wild” about seeking help from the “Government” anyway!!! It was just my understanding that there were programs “out there” to help people in need! Well, not people like us apparently…hmmmm…???

The bad news is, I over extended our budget this month on repairs for the house because I assumed we qualified based on the information that was given to me by the Foodstamp Office (as well as the case worker herself)…sooooo…we are going to struggle harder this month!!! That is what I get for “counting my chickens before they hatch“ …! I should have known better!? We have 3 more weeks left in this month and we are already broke!!! So…I have decided to make this “adventurous”…!!! especially in the kitchen!!! What we are going to do is take a food inventory of everything that we have! We will then plan our meals based on this inventory! Then…it will be time to cook!!! We will not be going to the grocery store again until after April 1st…! Maybe I will be able to share with you some “thrifty” recipes on the way!!?? We will call this “The Poor Man’s Menu”…! Oh yeah…
