Yesterday we did absolutely nothing but play in the snow!!! We hiked in it…sled in it…we were wet from head to toe! Oh…and we went to the graveyard! Yes, to appease my sons obsession with death! Death? I know, I know!!! There is something about this “age” with boys where they become intrigued by death, blood , wrestling and karate (God help me)!!?? Little girls are very different at this age!!! It took me awhile to get used to being tackled, sucker punched and karate kicked!!! Not to mention the questions I answer day to day about why people die! It helped by talking with his Doctor about this “phase“…!!! I asked, “Doctor, is it normal for a 5y/o to want to kill his Mother???” He said, “Unfortunately for you, Mom“… as he puts his hands on my shoulders attempting to comfort me, “yes!” Being a genie pig isn’t all that bad once you accept it! You learn to stay one step ahead, like dodging for example! That helps! Oh, and the new rule that we can only talk about death once a day now!!! Anyway…It was a great day! Very whimsical! Very beautiful!

I thought I would share some pictures with you! Hope you enjoy them…

I am still not feeling well, though I did enjoy the brisk clean air!!! I could breathe so much better!!! Wish I could bag it up and carry it with me somehow!!!

Tim and I went walking later that evening...the snow was about 4-5 inches...the air was still!!! Very peaceful!!! The following slide show titled "Night Ice"...enjoy!!!

Oh, I failed to mention the spruce tree! When I was loading up the car our last day at Atlanta, I began to realize quickly that the ficus wasn’t going to fit!!! I thought about strapping it to the top of the car, but wasn’t sure if it would make the trip without killing it!!! We bought the tree for Christmas! Cooper wanted a real tree! After pricing cut trees I thought, “whew”…”expensive”…! A lot of money and it just seemed like such a waste! So, we saw the little spruce trees!!! I asked Cooper if he wanted a cut tree, which we would have to eventually throw away…Or, would he like to have a spruce tree that we could keep forever and watch it grow!!! He decided that the spruce tree was what we needed! Only, after awhile…the little tree was in need of some sunshine! It wasn’t quite getting enough sun from our apartment in Atlanta!!! So, we decided that it needed to be planted somewhere special! We thought at first to plant in here in Alabama at our dogs grave! His name was Mo, who was killed by a car just a few months ago! But since we couldn’t bring the spruce with us to Alabama, we decided to donate it as a gift to our neighbors! See, our neighbors’ cat had passed away the night before we left Atlanta…and they had plans of burying it at some graveyard in Decatur, GA! We asked if we could give this to them to plant on top of their cat when at the burial, and they said yes!!! They were happy and very touched by our gesture! See…there ya go!!! We found a special place for the spruce!!!

You know, there truly are no coincidences…
